About the Project
Rationale
Across Europe, children’s social and emotional well-being has become a major priority. According to researches, parents increasingly value happiness, confidence and safety over academic results, reflecting the growing understanding that emotional health is essential for children’s development and long-term success. Schools and teachers play a central role in this, as they can strengthen children’s motivation, engagement and confidence. Gamification further supports this by offering a safe space to practice social and emotional skills without fear of failure.
The MindMatters project takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to building emotional resilience in primary schools. Based on the LifeComp Framework, it has created a Triple Psychosocial and Emotional Resilience Toolkit for teachers, children aged 7–11 and parents/caregivers. Through a cross-curricular, gamified methodology, the project aims to make resilience-building engaging and accessible.
